Thunderstorms Alert – Two Tornadoes Could Hit New York City.

Forecasters caution that two tornadoes may form out of a storm front approaching New York City.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch that is valid until 10 p.m. on Monday.

Along with details about the severe thunderstorm watch, governor Kathy Hochul warned that thunderstorms could bring heavy rain, strong gusts, and one or more tornadoes.

A dangerous weather outlook released Monday morning states that a frontal system is now passing over the region.

Even if the system doesn’t produce the most serious threats, the prediction indicates that the day may be cloudy and rainy, with a 50% chance of precipitation during the day.

The prediction indicates that by evening, there will be a 70% chance of rain.

The prediction predicts that some storms may produce significant rainfall that might cause localized flooding.
